 DISTRICT 3220 – CITATION 2011-12

Rotary Clubs in our District will be recognized by way of a District
Citation if they were to achieve all Mandatory (M) goals and 1 of the
Optional (O) goals by 31st March 2012.
Achieve the RI Citation (M)
Achieve all mandatory goals and one of the optional Goals listed. (All applications
for award consideration must be forwarded to the District Secretary not later than
7th April, 2012)

MANDATORY GOALS (M) OPTIONAL GOALS (O)

1.         Membership Development Goals

a.         Net membership growth of 2 members. (M)    
b.         Over 80% of the members (for clubs with a membership of 30 or less) and
             60%   (For clubs with a membership of 31 or more) achieve “Effective
            Rotarian Recognitions” (M)

2.         Service Projects

a.         Undertake a minimum of three projects in any of the following focus
            areas. (M)
            (1)       Peace & conflict prevention / resolution
            (2)       Disease prevention & treatment
            (3)       Water & sanitation
            (4)       Maternal & child health
            (5)       Basic Education & Literacy
            (6)       Economic & community development
b.         Sponsor at least one Interact or Rotaract club (For Clubs who do not
            already Sponsor an interact or Rotaract Club/s) Other Clubs who are
            already Sponsoring  Interact/Rotaract clubs should furnish a certificate
             from DIR/DRR to confirm that  the said clubs are active in service (M)
c          Recognize Vocational Service Excellence in your Community (M)
d.         Sponsor a new Rotary Club as an individual club or jointly as the group (O)
e          Increase women members to 10% (O)
 
3.         The Rotary Foundation

a.         Achieve the contribution / Rotary Foundation Goal as discussed and
            agreed between the respective club President and the District
            Governor (M)
b.         Successfully plan/complete a Matching Grant project as an individual
            club    or  as the group (M) contribute a minimum of USD 200 to the Polio
            Fund (O)
c.         Nominate a candidate or a leader for GSE or host the inbound GSE
            team. (O)
4.         Club Administration

a.         Plan and adopt the RI Strategic Plan and Long Range Goals for minimum
             of 3 years (M)
b.         Conduct at least one intercity meeting with all the clubs in the group (M)
c.          Establish Sister club arrangement with an overseas Rotary club. (O)
d.         Participate in an International Youth/Family Exchange program (O)
e.         Sponsor a RCC (O) Sponsor a Vocational Trainee (O)

5.         Public Relations

a.         Undertake at least one activity to enhance the public image of Rotary or
            your Rotary club in your community (M)
b.         Send your Monthly PR report to DC-PR and GML Editor (M)
c.         Host and maintain a club website (O)
d.         Publish at least a quarterly News Letter (Print) (O)

6.         Minimum of 3 members of the club to register and participate at all District
            Seminars. (M)

7.         Attain an average monthly attendance of 50% by 31st March 2012.(M)

8.         President Elect and Secretary Elect to register with RI/Member Access on
            or before 31st December, 2011. (M)

9.         Full representation of the Board at the District Assembly to be held in June
            2011 duly certified by the District Secretary. (M)

10.       Registration at the District Conference to be held in February 2012 to be as
            follows (M)
a.         Clubs with a membership of 50 or below – Minimum 60 %
b.         Clubs with a membership of over 50 – Minimum 40%
c.         Review and adopt Club by Laws by 15th December, 2011.  (M)
d.         Provide financial assistance to the President   Elect to meet the cost of
            PETS if necessary. (O)
e.          Appoint a member to maintain club archives (O)



Effective Rotarian Recognition – 2011/12

To receive the District Citation, each club of our district will
have to ensure that over 80% of their active membership (For
clubs with a membership of 30 or less) or 60% (for clubs with
a membership of 31 or more) achieved the “Effective Rotarian Recognition” by fulfilling the following 4 mandatory and 1 of
the optional requirements before 31st March, 2012.

Club Presidents will monitor and duly recognize such
achievements and should forward the final report counter
signed by the respective Asst. Governor to the District
Secretary on or before 7th April, 2012.

1.      Mandatory Goals
a.      Record minimum of 50% attendance at club meetings (M)
b.      Contribute minimum of USD 10 to the Annual Program
          Fund (M)
c.      Actively participate in at least 2 humanitarian services
           projects conducted by the club.(M)
d.      Register and attend District Conference 2012 (M)

2.      Optional Goals
a.      Introduce one new member (O)
b.      Sponsor a Vocational Trainee (O)
c.      Register for RI Convention (O)
d.      Provide home stay for a GSE team member (O)
e.      Attend a Home club intercity meeting or a regular meeting
          of another club (O)

RI Presidents Citation 2011-12

Club Recognition



Club recognition has two Rotary Foundation contribution components and four membership components. Clubs that meet all requirements and are certified by the district governor will receive a certificate. Clubs must submit their results to the district governor no later than 6 April 2012.


 100% Annual Programs Fund participation (every active member personally
     contributes some amount between 1 July 2011 and 31 March 2012)


 US$100 minimum per capita1 in club contributions to Annual Programs Fund


 Minimum net increase of one member


 85% minimum retention rate2 Achievement of two of the following goals:


 2% increase in women


 2% increase in younger professionals (under age of 45)


 Induction of one or more RI/Rotary Foundation program alumni


 Increased diversity (e.g., classification, gender, age)


District Recognition


District recognition has one Rotary Foundation contribution component and four membership components. Districts that meet all requirements will receive a certificate. District governors must submit district results and certified club results no later than 10 April 2012.


To certify club achievements and make district calculations, governors should sign into Member Access on or after 31 March to draw up their club membership, monthly contribution reports for per capita achievement, and EREY eligibility report to confirm each active Rotarian’s contribution. Certification forms will be available on http://www.rotary.org/.

Top District and Club Winners


The top 15 districts and 15 clubs will be recognized onstage at the 2012 RI Convention in Bangkok, Thailand (6-9 May). To be eligible for convention recognition, districts must certify the club results and submit them to RI, along with their district results, by Tuesday, 10 April 2012.


RI will then determine the 15 highest achieving districts (no more than one per zone) and the three highest achieving clubs in each of the following club-size categories (no more than one
club per zone):

All club and district figures must be verified by Rotary International and The Rotary
Foundation.RI will cover the cost of the convention registration fee, travel, lodging, and reasonable meal expenses for the 2011-12 district governors of the three highest achieving districts and the 2011-12 club president of the highest achieving club from each club-size segment (five club presidents in total). Spouse or partner costs will not be covered by RI.


The remaining 12 districts and 10 clubs will be recognized onstage at convention at no cost to Rotary International (convention registration, travel, lodging, and meal costs will not be covered by RI).

Get to know "The Future Vision Plan"

The Rotary Foundation Future Vision Pilot is a three-year test of the new grant structure offered in the Foundation's Future Vision Plan. One hundred districts are participating in the pilot. Pilot districts will have a unique opportunity to help refine the new grant structure by providing input and receiving specialized Foundation support and service.

Rotary Foundation District Grants


District grants are block grants made to districts for up to 50 percent of their District Designated Fund (DDF). District grants offer the flexibility to respond quickly to immediate needs or to plan projects with clubs locally or in other countries.



Rotary Foundation Global Grants


Global grants support large international projects with sustainable, high-impact outcomes in the six areas of focus that correspond to the Foundation's mission.
